What a great day at East Berlin VFW Post 8896 yesterday as we raised funds for Wreaths Across America. The rain and damp weather did not dampen the spirits of the attendees.
The WAA truck was at the event and all were able to view the informational videos and items in the truck–what a moving experience.
Laying wreaths for the service groups by veterans in attendance was humbling.
There was a recognition of our Vietnam Veterans to welcome them home and what a moving experience for those attending and the vets being honored.
Topped the afternoon off with a Huey flyover.
Ended the day with music in the canteen by RJ Moody.
Thank you to all that volunteered to make this event a success and to all those who braved the rainy weather to attend.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS.
